COMVEX S.A. was established in 1991. It is the largest bulk raw material handling terminal in the Black Sea area. The terminal covers an area of 700,386 sqm in the south of Constanta Port.
COMVEX terminal is a leading specialist in handling, storing and transhipment of dry bulk minerals such as iron ore, coal, coke, and bauxite. It operates from a modern and fully equipped facility located in the Port of Constanta, Romania.
COMVEX is the only terminal in the Black Sea area that is able to cater for cape size vessels of up to 220,000 tdw. In addition, COMVEX benefits geographically by having access through the waterway network such as the Danube, which runs across mainland Europe.
Due to its location and excellent access potential to industrial plants in Europe and the Black Sea area, COMVEX is able to provide its customers, such as major mining companies from Australia, Brazil, India, Africa, USA and Canada, with the ability to make deliveries to industrial plants in Austria, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia, on a "just in time" basis.
